This Mid-Century Modern Gorgeous chair is in blue velvet with a soft grey wooden frame. The footstool is finished in the same Frenchic Grey Pebble paint.
Fully restored and in amazing condition. Like any upholstered item, the chair's appearance is not entirely seamless. This, in my opinion, gives the chair a little more character.
 
Background of the chair
During Louis XV's reign armchairs became larger and far more comfortable as their designs evolved.
In comparison to earlier times, the armchairs of the middle Louis XV period (1723–1750) were both smaller and cosier. The legs were more curved, the top of the back was rounded, and there was sometimes a small artistic motif. The back of the chair became to resemble a more refined violin.
